Eating healthy means consuming a wide variety of foods, emphasizing on vegetables , plenty of fruits , healthy carbs. Essential that we avoid processed foods, less of sugar, less of sodium.
8 Tips to keep in mind while having a meal
- Eat mindfully , feeling the aroma, the texture of the food
- Make yourself a comfortable spot to eat your meals.
- Choose whole grains and complex carbs
- Choose lean proteins and healthy fats like avocados, nuts and seeds.
- Food must be low in added sugars, excess salt, and processed oils
- Eat healthy and nutritious snacks. Generally a fruit is the best choice.
- Not more than 4 eating times in a day is wisdom!
- Hydration: plenty of water during the day, herbal teas, lemon juice, smoothies are always the best.
